The Accelerated Reader program combines the use of great children's literature with the use of computer software to test comprehension. The software follows individual students as well as whole class performance and also manages the records. Students are inspired to increase the difficulty level of their reading to acquire more points. Students are awarded points for performance and those points can be exchanged for prizes. Most students find this individualized, self-paced program fun and rewarding.
Working with the Accelerated Reader program is as easy as 1-2-3
1. Select a book - Students choose their own Accelerated Reader book.
2. Read the book - Students read the book at their own pace.
3. Take the test - Students take a test consisting of multiple choice questions. |
