High School Football - State Playoffs
Congratulations to the Brunswick High School Pirates on their 34-20 victory over Bainbridge High School in the first round of the Class AAAA State Playoffs last Friday night. With the win, the Pirates advance to a second round game against Griffin on Friday, November 21 at the Glynn County Stadium. Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased in advance at the Glynn County Schools Athletic Department offices or at the gate on Friday. School system ID cards and Platinum Pride cards will not be accepted for admission to the game. Only GHSA-issued passes will be accepted.

GA athlete medals in state cross country meet
Congratulations to Glynn Academy junior Shelby Robison who became the first student athlete from her school to ever medal in a state-level cross country competition. Shelby's time of 19:57.44 in the Girls 5K Run earned her an eighth-place finish in the event with 196 runners. The meet was held in Carrollton, Ga.
Shelby, who in region competition finished as the Region 2-AAAA Cross Country Champion, is pictured with GA Girls Cross Country Track Coach Theresa Adams.
